香港書 is a handmade artist’s zine by Justin Wong, consisting of three individual booklets: 難過書, 悔過書, and 忘記書.

Created from Wong’s experience of leaving Hong Kong and rebuilding a life elsewhere, the three books bring together fragments of thoughts, memories, emotions and drawings surrounding migration, diaspora, and the complicated relationship between a person and a place once called home.

The books move through three emotional states — 難過 (sorrow), 悔過 (regret), and 忘記 (forgetting). Together, they reflect on the grief of departure, the distance that grows between oneself and one’s hometown, and the question of what remains when returning is no longer possible.

Each booklet contains 32 pages of original illustrations and texts in both Chinese and English. Rather than telling a single continuous story, 香港書 gathers small moments and personal reflections — an attempt to hold on to memories while also confronting the possibility, and perhaps the necessity, of letting go.

Produced as a limited edition of 100 sets, each set contains all three booklets. Every copy is hand-bound by the artist.

A 3D printed bookmark is included in each set.
