This project reflects my journey observing my daughter grow and explore her identity through her drawings. I selected pieces from her early work, where she first discovered human faces within her playful scribbles. As she created spirals and lines through her movements, a pivotal moment occurred when she realized that closing an open line formed a circle. By adding two dots, she transformed that simple shape into her first representation of a human face.

As she continued to practice and incorporate familiar elements, I witnessed her discovering herself as a girl. She expressed her desire to depict an ideal girl with detailed figures, ultimately conveying emotions through her characters. Over time, this culminated in a clear representation of herself, capturing her growth from ages 3 to 10.

In this art book, I gathered her drawings from various sources—large newspaper sheets, A4 paper, drawing pads, small envelopes, and coasters. I resized and arranged them chronologically according to when she created them. I then made five copies of each selected piece, tracing them carefully on blue tracing paper.
